Abstract
This article discusses inter-ethnic relations between the Burusho of Nager and Hunza peoples. It argues that these two groups have been bitter enemies to one another because of long standing differences in religious affiliation and cultural ideology. The author locates this rivalry to the mountaineous geographic setting which reduced communication to a very low level.
