Abstract
This article describes the two types of Khasi monuments, horizontal and upright slabs, and their customary arrangements. The relative antiquity of these monuments is briefly discussed in terms of kinds of rock employed, sources where these slabs are obtained, workmanship and distribution. A brief commentary on the paper appears at the end of the article.
