A Lanoh Negrito funeral near Lenggong, Perak

Federation museums journalFederation Of Malay • Published In 1954 • Pages: 64-74

By: Williams-Hunt, P. D. R. (Peter Darrell Rider).

Abstract
This is a detailed description of a Lanoh Semang funeral û evidently the first complete description to be published dealing with a Malayan Negrito group. The author observed the event from the point of terminal illness through the completion of mourning, and also seems to have had a good, knowledgeable informant. He includes some comparative data from the literature on other Semang groups, and from unpublished observations among two Sakai groups.
