Abstract
This article brings together with a brief discussion several articles of the Annamite Code which deal with the definition and punishment of faults in the practice of medicine and pharmacy. Jeanselme, a French doctor, covers, among other things, the laws concerning castration, sorcery, the preparation of medicine and food for the sovereign, marriage, the sale of toxic products, and legal medicine.
