Abstract
This is a detailed analysis of Annamese legislation dealing with various aspects of the pledging of labor for the payment of debts. It includes a brief historical summary of French legislation dealing with indebtedness. Annamese law dealing with the whole area of debts, regulation of wages, and treatment of hired or indentured labor is discussed.
