Abstract
The author has written a short account of the religion of the Lolo of Ch'êng-chiang, with special emphasis on the position of bamboo, pine and pear trees in mythology and ceremonial, and on burial customs and ancestor worship. Chinese influence on the latter is described. Some mention is also made of magical-medical practices, fertility aids, and attitude toward spirits among these people. Not all the practices described in this source are specifically referred to the Ch'êng-chiang Lolo.
