Abstract
This work is a collection of over one hundred Ovimbundu folktales organized into 18 categories by the author, an American missionary. The tales were collected by a native schoolteacher and translated by the author after he returned from the field. Alfred Lord provides an introduction discussing the structure and themes of the tales. An appendix includes a list of proverbs.
