Abstract
This source contains descriptions of childbirth and associated ceremonies among ther Hopi Indians of Oraibi at about the beginning of the twentieth century. An extended description of the naming ceremony for an infant boy is also given. The descriptions are based on personal observations by the author, a Mennonite missionary.
