Abstract
This source deals with the development of a revivalist religious cult among Zulu near Durban -- its antecedents, its leadership, its role in a society much altered since the 19th century peak of its military power. The revivalism includes many aspects of traditional Zulu culture, and the cult has a predominately religious character. The author was a professional anthropologist who did field research.
