By: Evans-Pritchard, E. E. (Edward Evan).

Abstract
This book is the outstanding source on Azande witchcraft, and also contains much general information on social organization. Magic, witchcraft and oracles are the predominating interests in the culture. Evans-Pritchard studied the relations of these beliefs and practices to one another to show that they form an ideational system and how this is reflected in social behavior. Evans-Pritchard made three expeditions to Zandeland, where in all he resided for twenty months.
