Abstract
This source is a general account of the Lolo by a renown Chinese anthropologist. The author describes class organization, economic activities and labor division, marriage and kinship systems, political organization and religious beliefs. A considerable portion of the book is devoted to clan feuds, slave raids, and warfare. The book is based on fieldwork undertaken by the author.
