Abstract
This source, whose author is trained in both anthropology and psychology, employs as data the responses to three types of projective tests administered at Niiike. The responses are interpreted in terms of a number of aspects of personality structure, including: delineation of emotional bonds within the family; the effects of family relationships on personality development, individual and sex roles, achievement motivation, guilt and shame; attitudes toward infirmity, death, and sexuality; and generational differences (trends) in attitudes. Appendix A, containing the test materials themselves, has not been processed for the files. The Thematic Apperception Test materials used in Niiike are found in Source 9: De Vos and Wagatsuma. The Rorschach Test materials used for this study are standard and have not been processed for the files. The Problem Situation Test questions used here are part of this source and are found in Category 125.
