Abstract
This monograph is based upon seven months of field research, concentrated for the most part on a small and recently formed settlement of Carib. The author concerns himself mainly with a detailed analysis of the elements of the social organization and personality factors which tend toward the integration or disruption of this settlement. Other cultural aspects are treated topically. A detailed section on anthropometry, including comparative data on the Arawak as well as other Carib groups, completes the study. There is little information on Carib history or spatial distribution.
