Abstract
This volume contains chapters 12 through 38 of book 13 and chapters 1 through 19 (all) of book 14 of the author's monumental history. Although the other volumes not processed for the files contain considerable data on the natural environment of the Inka, the volume presented here includes most of the information which Cobo wrote on the Inka culture. A great variety of subjects are treated, some in detail and all in an eminently readable style. Cobo's writings are considered to be among the best of the chronicles of Peru and are a primary source for a study of the Inka. Although for the most part they are the result of original observances by Cobo, in some cases he takes data directly from other writhers without acknowledgement.
