Abstract
This document is primarily a study of !Kung childhood and personality development. Much of the material in this work focuses on the effects of subsistence ecology on later childhood development but other factors which also enter into this picture of development are children's activities, care and supervision, and socialization processes that help to prepare the child for adult roles in the society.
